West View Integrated Care Centre is a dedicated facility focused on rehabilitation and recovery, operated by the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. The centre provides a supportive environment for patients, their families, and carers, emphasising a strong rehabilitation ethos. Patients admitted to West View are introduced to a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) who collaboratively develop an individual care plan aimed at maximising independence and preparing for a return home.
The care centre features two wards, Benenden East and Benenden West, each with 15 beds. It offers a range of activities designed to aid recovery, including games, quizzes, and group exercise sessions. The staff encourages patients to engage actively in their recovery by setting achievable goals and maintaining daily routines, such as getting dressed and participating in personal care.
Visiting hours are extensive, allowing ample time for family and friends to visit, which the centre encourages to support patient recovery. However, visitors are asked to adhere to health precautions such as wearing masks and sanitising hands upon entry and exit.
Facilities at West View include free parking and no on-site café, but hot drinks are available for visitors. The centre is accessible via a hopper bus service from the local town centre, ensuring easy access for visitors and patients alike.
