Tenterden Town Hall serves as a multifunctional venue that caters to various community needs and events. This historic building, operated by the Tenterden Town Council, is not only the hub for council operations but also offers spaces for hire, including for weddings. The Mayor’s Parlour, a warmly decorated intimate room within the Town Hall, is typically available for ceremonies and can accommodate up to 40 guests. However, it is currently closed for renovations.
The venue is equipped with a premises licence for alcohol and is licensed for weddings. While the Mayor’s Parlour itself does not offer catering, refreshments can be served in the adjacent Assembly Room following ceremonies. Accessibility is facilitated with wheelchair access and a stair lift to the upper floors. Although there is no on-site car parking, nearby options include street parking and local car parks.
The Town Hall’s central role in the community extends beyond event hosting, as it actively engages in local planning recommendations and community initiatives.
